Many products offered by Daytek (Dayton Tooling Pty. Ltd.) come with Warranties we offer in addition to the standard protections offered to our customers under law. Products that have additional warranties of either 15 years, 10 years, 5 years or 2 years, are noted on both the product’s packaging, and on our website.


An example of a 15 year Warranty to be found on our packaging is below:

15 Year Product Warranty

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If any part of this clothesline fails to operate correctly due to faulty workmanship or defective material Dayton Tooling will repair or replace free of cost within 15 years from the date of purchase. (Receipt of purchase required). The PVC line cord is covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Any evidence of misuse or incorrect adjustment will void the warranty. To claim a product warranty, please contact Dayton Tooling directly. You must bear the cost of claiming the warranty. This warranty is in addition to other rights and remedies of the customer under law.

Please note the following:

  1. To claim a product Warranty, please contact Dayton Tooling Pty. Ltd. directly on (03) 9470 1755, via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or enquiry via our web site www.daytek.com.au. We will open a claim request for you immediately.
  2. We will need information about the problem, where you bought the product, and proof of purchase such as a receipt. If you are able to email a photograph of the fault, that can be very helpful.
  3. We will look at the claim, and if there is a defect or fault, at our option we will either replace the part in question or replace the entire product.
  4. If we replace a part, we will send you that part free of charge and pay the postage. We will also assist you by phone or email if you need instructions on how to replace the part.
  5. If the fault cannot be rectified easily or quickly, we will replace the entire product for you. When a full replacement is needed, we will ask you to return the goods to the place of purchase and we will authorise the retailer to exchange it for you for a replacement unit, free of charge. We will be responsible for freight costs of the original product back to our address from the retailer.
  6. If your place of purchase does not have a replacement unit available to give you immediately, Dayton Tooling Pty. Ltd. will deliver one directly to you and we will pay for the cost of delivery to your nominated address. You must bear all other costs of claiming the Warranty, including any costs associated with installation or removal.
